We've completed our first online discipleship, Becoming His Vessel: The Pathway to Living a Life with Meaning, with over 70 participating. The simple teaching of the Word began to change lives immediately! One woman shares,Â
âYears ago, I was involved in a Sunday school class but the group didnât want to study the Wordâit was a social time. I allowed the attitude of the class to wound my heart. I became disconnected from church and began to drift away from God. Recently, I started the Becoming His Vessel online course. In the first lesson, Jo discussed 1 Samuel 16:7: âBut the Lord said to Samuel, âDo not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.ââ That word leaped off the page at me! God KNOWS MY HEART! That truth immediately set me free from my past wound. I instantly became hungry for the Word again and my close relationship with God.â...
Who would have thought that our entire society would be placing such concentrated attention upon the home in 2020! Our aim is to present simple yet powerful truths focusingâŻon the homeâand those truths haveâŻbecome alive with meaning duringâŻthis time with so many people now sheltering in place!

Each month the Vessel Room opens its doors to local pastors who come together to pray for the peace and unity of our city. What a joy to be in the midst of this movement! The Holy Spirit has knitted their hearts together in spirit and in relationship to encourage each other and pray for each other. There are no denominational barriers and no agendas! They come with a heart of humility and genuine faith believing God to lead their prayers and transform the entire community. God is moving through these humbled pastors, and we are humbled to help facilitate the gathering. Friends like you make it possible for us to open our doors to them so that God can be glorified in hearts, homes, and the entire city. Thank you for investing in this way!
Every year, His Vessel Ministries hosts a Bible Reading Marathon beginning on the National Day of Prayer. By reading Godâs Word in public, we pronounce His truth and goodness across our entire city and into the hearts and homes of all! Â
This year will be a little different due to the pandemic guidelines for public meetings. We will read the entire Bible, Genesis to Revelation, on one day, Thursday, May 7, 2020, but the readings will be done from each participantâs home instead of from the Capitol. We will assign 15-minute segments of Scripture to be read. It will be different, of course! But we will continue to lift high Godâs Word however we can. And we are excited that this will offer special time for families to read Godâs Word together in their homes. The purpose of speaking the living Word of God over our city will still be accomplished, and this new format will actually spread that reading all over our state!âŻSign up opportunities are coming soon, and we cannot wait to see how ...
