It was going to take me agreeing with Him to make the change -- to change the behavior so that my health would be better. Then I could have that blissful life.
- But if I didn't, I would compromise my health. I would stay frustrated and defeated in these little habits.
- But I was ready to make a change.
Is there a "nuclear threat" in our own lives where we need to make a change? Where we need to listen to Him? God is sounding the alarm to get our attention.
Do you have a little bad habit? It could be defeating us, hindering our prayers.
"God, why aren't you moving? I'm standing on your promise!" Why don't we see the miracles? Why the wait?
In the wait, in the why, maybe God sees something in us. We're walking through a time of sanctification. Is God putting the light on our lives?
I've confessed, but I need to be delivered of this wretchedness -- that I don't keep repeating these same sins. I'm ready to be delivered. It's time to repent, to change.
God wants to remove all defilement of your flesh so that your prayers will be powerful for Him to move and do miracles around your life.
Take this moment that God has put His finger on. Allow it to change you, by the grace of God.
You have a new life. You pray with power -- in humility, you've surrendered. Now God is perfecting you. You have removed that hindrance. God can move with power.
All these years I've been praying for reconciliation, for a prodigal. God forgive me when it's been my own "little defilement" that may have caused the reconciliation to linger.
Perhaps the prodigal is in sin, perhaps the drifter isn't giving God much time. Could it be that through our repentance that God puts us back in a powerful position to pray for that reconciliation, that prodigal, those who are drifting, wandering, or lost?
What is God saying to you?
Don't just assume everything is ok. Let the Father put the light on the matter. If He exposes something that you need to repent, change your lifestyle. He will put you back in a position of power.
Lean in. Hear God. Listen and obey.
And watch God perform miracles that you'll stand on the rooftop and proclaim to the world.
