God wants you to stay entangled with the heart of God and not to wander off into the wilderness and miss the promises of God. But if you have, or if you know someone that has, how do you get back? Or how do you help them get back? Or how do you pray for someone to get back?

I was praying with a small group of Watchmen [in Montgomery, AL] and as the leader began our prayer time, she took us to Psalm 68 and she began reading Psalm 68 [verses 1-2] that we would come together and begin to praise God through this Psalm. And as she was praying aloud this Psalm, she said, "Let God arise, let His enemies be scattered; Let those also who hate Him flee before Him. As smoke is driven away, so drive them away, God; as wax melts before the fire, so let the wicked perish at the presence of God." And the moment that that word was prayed, that as God--He melts like wax the enemy and lets the wicked perish at His presence.

The moment that word was spoken, it was a rhema for me. Because what I could see is that God in heaven is looking and He does see our enemies here on earth and He sees what the enemy is doing. And I know that God doesn't like that and that there is a point when God will leave heaven and He will come down here on earth and He will scatter the enemy....

Listen, in these last days, stay the course. Do not buy into the fear. Walk by your faith, keep your heart set on Christ, cling to the word of God, walk by the word of God, and keep your heart. Keep a good conscience, a clear conscience, because in these days you will be strong. You will be strong. You will go from strength to strength and you, my friend, will do great exploits.

Hey Christians, it's high time that we wake up. (Romans 13:11). What does that mean? That we come out of our spiritual inactivity and it's time to get active, to get spiritually active walking those principles, those precepts, those truths that we hear in the sermon every Sunday, those truths that we read in our Bible, those truths that we glean from our Bible study, those truths that we'd been taught to walk all of our life.
It is time that we don't be lax about them or that they lay over there on the shelf and it's time to get them off, dust them off and put them into practice and to live it. See, our nation, I believe is hanging in the balance.  Our way of life as we know it, and many of us, as we have known it, probably all of our life, is hanging in the balance and we see there's a problem, but we're just waiting for somebody else to solve it. Seeking God in prayer is an immense privilege and joy, and a foundational part of our discipleship work. Every one of us—staff, leaders, and participants alike!—has committed, as God’s vessel, to practice dependence upon Him by seeking His face daily. His Vessel founder Jo Hancock models this and served as one of the prayer leaders for the O.U.R. Montgomery Prayer Gathering event in June.

Standing for One United Reaching, O.U.R. Montgomery is an alliance of churches, houses of worship, ministries, and community agencies seeking a better future for our city together in Christ. Its June 3 community-wide prayer event was held in downtown Montgomery and drew people from many churches and groups. At the start of 2020 we planned a summer teaching event for the Vessel Room called Now Stand! By summer, we had to adjust due to COVID-19 restrictions—we didn’t want to miss an opportunity to see lives transformed! We stepped out in faith and tried something new: livestreaming! God has already drawn 2,114 people to the teaching between in-person and streaming views.

Last month’s special funding request covered tech upgrades for livestreaming. God has already supplied it—and more! The enemy wants to destroy, he wants to confuse and separate the family. And he's done a good job, spiritually separating hearts, also separating family members, even in the home. When we come in the home, people go to their separate rooms and that get in their rooms, even in the living room or the family room, around the television.  Although they're physically in the same room, they're separated because each one may be on their Smartphone or may have the television on. They're not looking face to face at one another. They're looking at these apparatuses that we have, whatever type it is. So, the enemy wants to separate us. And as a result, when there is separation, things get out of order. And so, I want to zero in on something we can use this time while our nation is facing these huge issues. And they're in our face. We can use this as an opportunity to examine our family, to strengthen our family and use it as a time to regain a face to face relationship with one another.

We're to love God, that love that word for love, there is an action. It is an action that gives so where to respond in an action. When we love God with all of our heart, all of our soul, and all of our strength, and it's a giving action. Now I want to stop right here and say something so many times when we hear the word give, we think of what we think of money. When we say the word love, we think of feelings. I want to broaden our scope, our understanding of love and zero in on God's love to go beyond those narrow understanding of love because in Deuteronomy 6:5 it that love there is an active giving, but it's much, much more than materialistic giving of money. This is amplified. This is repeated in a commandment when Jesus spoke. And he said in Matthew, 22:37, when he said the greatest commandment is to do what? Is to love the Lord, your God, what?
