Notes from this week's podcast: What is the truth about Iran?

I'll be looking at the biblical perspective and what it's all about and how we will be the victors

1. We get to know the facts -- the physical facts so we know how to pray -- that's a challenge

We have to guard what we hear, guard what is being said, lean into the Holy Spirit (Would you bring to me the knowledge that I need to know. Why? So that we know how to pray specifically)

Pray Specifically:

- for all those in position of authority whether you agree with those in authority or not: they need wisdom, knowledge, and understanding; they need the Spirit of the living God to fall on them

- for the troops: they need a hedge of protection over them and wisdom -- divine sheet of protection over them

- for a war plan that lines up with the heart of God 

2. Put the Word on those facts

3. Plead the blood of Jesus over every situation

- We have to come against an antichrist spirit that is determined to destroy God's people, to take God's land and take ownership and possession. Why? to control the circumstances

- We believe the enemy has been defeated by the blood of the Lamb and by the testimony of our word -- speak what we believe, what we know is truth, walk in the fear of the Lord

4. Do not be deceived who and what this battle is about

The bottom line: This battle is about God's inheritance. In the spiritual: It's about an enemy who wants to destroy God's inheritance, diminish God's inheritance and take possession of God's land. This battle goes all the way back to Genesis. When you see that and know that, it empowers you to rise above the chatter on the news or otherwise, to see where we need to position our time, our energy, our forces today. Why? We know we're the victor, so that we gain even greater victory in the midst of this ongoing war. 

Now that you know, you see the battle -- what it's really about -- that we're. not wrestling against flesh and blood -- this is a battle against the antichrist spirit that has raised up through the leaders of Iran, and here in America to stifle this so that America's land will not have ownership to spread the Gospel and exalt the name of Jesus. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, God is moving. 

5. Because you see spiritually what's really going on, what's driving this physical war, sit your family down and explain to them what's really happening -- what's really behind this war; explain to them who the true enemy is -- not to be overtaken and consumed by the enemy. We know where to spend our time and energy to spread the Gospel, to live out the Gospel, to live in the fear of God, to make sure our family knows the Word of God, to make sure we're walking the Word of God. That is what God is calling us to do.

6. See the need for the blood. You defeat your enemy through the blood of Jesus -- this is how Satan was defeated on the cross -- the everlasting/eternal life is in the blood. 

We give testimony, speaking it out. Walk in the fear of the Lord

You believe that God is sovereign and you wholly submit, get under His authority, under His leadership, His guidance, submit yourself to Him. Follow the voice of God, totally yielded to Him, walk in reverence to Him believing that He is the one true God. That is a battle -- who is the god/God of this earth?

7. Stand firm indoor faith knowing this Word -- it's so important to stay rooted in this Word, to be in the Word everyday because that's what's going to build your faith -- so you won't be moved by the physical. 

8. Do not think or speak negative words. You give ground to the enemy -- it weakens your faith. Put a guard over your mouth, purpose what you speak will be edifying -- words that build your faith. 

9. Believe God is sovereign. He is using this as an opportunity to gain His inheritance, to make His name known. Thy Kingdom come.

God, show me how to respond because I believe You are sovereign. 

10. Position yourself as a watchman 

- over your own heart to start with -- that you don't lose your joy, that your faith stands strong, that you can be encouraged, that God is on the scene

- over your own home, in your own family -- watchful spiritually and physically. Ask God to give you alerts to what you need to see and hear and the grace to respond

Keep praying specifically. Ask God to make you a warrior. Go out praising God. Walk before Him with a pure heart, blameless. So that others will put their trust in God. Keep the enemy under your feet. As you're praising God, He is fighting this battle. God will be exalted in the land.
