Notes from this week's podcast: We Need God -- All Three Persons of the Trinity

We need all of God to enable us to please Him in our actions, words, attitudes to reflect the heart of righteousness as we set our hearts on God. 

We have been reconciled to God. We have favor with God.

When we received Jesus, we exchanged that old life -- that sinful, habitual life of sin -- we exchanged it for a new life. So, all things about us are from God. That's what it is to live in Christ. 

How do we activate the role of the three persons of God in our everyday lives? 

(1) God the Father > Authority

(Authority is one of our greatest issues in our world today.) 

Before you turn it off, see how good it is. 

As our Authority, He's our protector and provider. 

Calling on Him, submitting to Him, is what helps bring order to your life. 

We can obey Him because we trust Him. And we trust Him because we know how to love Him. We have a love relationship with Him. 

Take the truth that God is your spiritual Father. 

When He speaks, He speaks through His Word and it will be truth. When He acts, He always acts with wisdom. 

He's worthy to be feared, submitted to, respected, and honored. 

(2) Jesus the Son > The Word

We incorporate Him through the Word of God.

When you leave your Bible on the coffee table (unopened, unattended), what are you saying? I don't need that person of the Trinity in my life. 

We do need Jesus. Read Him; read the Word. 

It empowers, gives direction and wisdom. 

+ Memorize the Word. Put Jesus into your heart. The Word speaks to me. And I could be more challenged to make His name great because it was powerful

(3) God the Holy Spirit > Power

When the Holy Spirit is moving and activated in your life, you have power - power that you need. 

You can call upon Him, when you feel powerless. 

He works miracles. He works through you that you can't do in the natural. You give Him credit for it -- to please God. 

(Conclusion) The Trinity is the theology that we follow. 

Every day, we need to imcorporate the three persons. Why? So that by faith we can live a life pleasing to God, to be one with God. 

How do we do it? Trust and obey. 

Ask God: How can I practically join with You and the three persons you are to truly live out this love relationship that pleases you?
