One Nation Under God?

This is a law in our land in 1954, it was enacted by Congress and we recognize that we are a republic and that we are a nation. The words “under God” was added to our pledge and added in this piece of legislation. Why was it even an important matter at that time that Congress would dictate some of their time to take action on this, to add the words “under God”, to the Pledge of Allegiance? Well, at that time in our history, there was a scare, a threat of communism taking over and invading in our nation, and it would invade and overtake our liberty as people. And so, our lawmakers and our President, at that time made a profound declaration that this nation, United States was under God. The word under seems to be a minor word, but it is very, very important in this matter. The word under means to get beneath. It means submission, submission to what? Submission to God, submission to God that he would be our protector. He's our provider. We look to him for our power. He's our divine caretaker, our guidance for our nation and so we submit to God and this nation gets under him and under his rule ship.
