God is good. That means that God Himself looks down into our lives, into our situations, and He sees what we need to make all things well around us.
God never lets anything touch you that's not intended to make you better.
God wanted to show me my heart -- my selfishness, my self-sufficiency, pride. God truly was my source - He was my sufficiency. He wanted me to run to Him, to embrace His good in the moment. I needed His favor, His grace.
A gift from God is truly an opportunity for a greater vision of God.
I got such a visitation from God that it woke me up to my self. I was satisfying myself by living in the world with God just tacked on. I was living for the things of the world and allowing my flesh to dictate my desires and my motives.
* It was an opportunity to have a holy visitation with God because He has so much more for each one of us.
Where did God find you this morning?
In your rejoicing, go help someone else get there. It doesn't have to be perfect, just be willing. And the Holy Spirit will lead you along. Don't miss that moment. Don't be selfish and keep that joy to yourself.
If you're seeking God, learning how to walk with God, keep doing what you know to do that's right. Going to God you're allowing God to speak to you, step by step.
In the midst of your seeking, it's a testimony -- a testimony of the goodness of God and how He's working through your life.
You may find yourself in the wilderness today. Where you are is good. Being in the wilderness, if that's where God found you, is good. Why? Because God is good. He wants to use that wilderness for you to know Him better, to know that He is the answer to your needs and to show You how to get out of the wilderness.
He's allowed you there so that you can see how desperate you are for God. Don't miss the moment. God loves you and He wants to meet you right there.
Know that in every disappointment, in every hurt, in every trial, struggle, they're God opportunities for you to become more like Him, to become His vessel poured out for the Master for greater things.
Remember: Life is not about me. It's all about the Master.
Take a deep breath. Get your thinking right. Bow before the Master. Get your eyes off yourself. Get your heart set on Him. Remove the unnecessary voices that are snuffing out the voice of God. Silence all voices but the voice of the Master. And you're going to run to Him as fast as you can.
At this moment, God is meeting you at your point of need. And God is all you need.
Step 1: Get in His presence.
Prayer: I seek You that I may be revived in You that rejoicing may come into my heart, that what truly brings me joy is You and You alone.
* He'll never force it on you. You must will to be better. You must will to see God in this situation. He is working it for you to be good.
Step 2: Let the Holy Spirit stir you up. Let Him blow His breath (the breath of the Almighty) over you, to restore life. Life = everything that God has for you.
He may be pushing something out, cleansing you, restoring to you the deep desires of your heart. Don't miss it.
Step 3: Wherever He takes you and leads you, hold on to Him.
Begin to rejoice right now, in the moment. That's your faith.
Whatever God says to you, engrave it on your heart. You can trust His Word.
Job was blessed in the end because He stood with the living God. He knew God had not forsaken him. God has not forsaken you. He is after you.
(Song) Spirit of the Living God fall fresh on me
oh, Spirit of the Living God fall fresh on me
Melt me, mold me, fill me, and use me
Spirit of the Living God (today) fall fresh on me.
May you rejoice in the Lord your God because, in the moment, God is good.
