- We are on our way to eternity, but while we're passing by, we're going to make this life count for eternity.
- Stay in the fight. Don't throw in the towel. Don't let this opportunity of life pass us by.
* Remember we are part of God's inheritance and He is using us to go out and bring in more of His inheritance.
1) We are to work out our salvation.
Work out = go out by faith to bring about an accomplishment, to bring about your purpose.
- Use our faith, use our gift, use the power of the Holy Spirit to bring them about
- With fear and trembling...because you've submitted to God, surrendered everything to Him (fear is holy reverence). You're His disciple, used for His purpose, yielding to His call.
* Remember, we exist for God, to bring Him pleasure, for His name's sake.
We don't complain so that we can be light so that others will come to salvation, so that others will come back to God.
If you're in a weak moment, press on because you're not laboring in vain. It will accomplish what God wants, according to His will.
2) As you're working it out, hold fast to the Word.
God is using you for a purpose -- not just on a platform or for some large project.
- We can make a profound impact to help usher a spiritual awakening as we are steadfast in our prayer assignment to pray for those that need salvation, to pray for those that are drifting/ needing to come back to God.
- This may be a valley moment, but the mountaintop is coming. Keep pressing on, leaving the results to Father God.
3) Rejoice in the midst of it, no matter what you see in the physical.
Our hope is in the Lord. We want to be moved by the power of the Holy Spirit.
4) Press on -- Keep throwing out the lifelines.
- God may be using you.
- Get a victory focus. There is a joy on their face.
- God is rescuing, delivering.
5) Keep the faith
6) Remember whose you are.
- Recognize the temptation to quit.
- Run in the lane where God has positioned you.
- Maintain focus, that is joy.
- Jesus endured the cross for the joy set before Him.
Press on, in humility. Grab the hand of that someone who can uphold you. Lock arms with a community.
Praise God for His promises, His power -- that you will experience the victory already won.
